Scotland in November

When a friend asks if you want to join her on a work trip you say yes. Even if it's a trip to Edinburgh, in November. Is it going to be rainy, dark, windy, and cold? Yes! But Scotland in November is still beautiful.
We saw lots of sights, we ate lots of food! (Including an incredible fish & chips with cider mid-day in a pub. Of course!) We did lots of walking and some shopping. It was an absolutely delightful little getaway.
I was struck by how low in the sky the sun was - the entire day. Golden hour all day long! We were lucky with the weather. We were greeted by spitting rain but we did get to see the sun several times. And it made me appreciate living further south this time of year! I thought Boston was cold and dark!
Here are some highlight photos from the trip. I love all of that stone architecture!
