making things with my hands

I have been painting regularly, but not posting as much. I have been in a season of quiet, internal, processing. Sometimes the state of the US (and the world) feels like I'm painting on the bow of the Titanic as it sinks. Then again, why not paint while the ship sinks? While I'm here, while I'm able, why not focus on making things with my hands?

With that in mind, I'm excited to share a side-project. I took a quick workshop at the library this week on print-making. I enjoyed it immensely! The time flew by and I was so focused on the physical making, carving, and printing that I felt deeply renewed by the end. Incredible!

This is your reminder from me. Make things with your hands. It is grounding, healing, and life-affirming at a time when we need all of those things the most.
