I am officially changing my 15-in-30 painting challenge to a 15 in 2018 challenge. Or a 15 in 365. However you want to look at it. I have the canvases and I fully plan to paint 15 florals. However, January is harder than I expected. At this size, the paintings just come a bit more slowly. I'm going to embrace that and push myself to do them throughout the year. I know they'll be worth waiting for!
In the meantime, I've been sharing a lot on instagram about what it's like in my art world. I'm dong an instagram challenge with Tara Leaver and it has been a lot of fun. (The photos here are examples of what I'm sharing, go check it out!)
I'm gearing up for another 30-in-30 challenge with Leslie Saeta. I'm planning smaller works and will limit myself to 1 hour for each painting. I'm not totally settled on the theme yet, it starts in February. Let me know if you have any suggestions!
Lastly, I'm leaving for Mexico tomorrow morning and I have not yet started packing. I should probably go do that now. I will be sure to take lots of photos for inspiration! I'll post about the trip when I get back.
